An Academic Collaboration between UEMF and Shenkar: A Technology and Smart Planning Workshop
Shenkar faculty and students attended a 2-days workshop at Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) in Fes, Morocco. The delegation included Prof. Yoram Halevi, Dean of the Engineering Faculty, Dr. Yonit Rusho, Head of the Software Engineering Department, Dr. Tal Goldrath, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Anat Yaari, Director of Shenkar International School, senior faculty and selected students from the Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Interior building & Environment Design Departments and the School of Industrial Engineering & Management.
During the visit, A Euro-Mediterranean A.I. Workshop in Application to Agriculture, Environment, Food Security & mobility in the big cities was conducted, organized jointly by Shenkar and UEMF, led by Prof. Yoram Halevi (Shenkar) and Prof. Othmane Benmoussa, Dean of the Polytechnic School (UEMF).
Throughout the workshops, topics related to the application of AI in air and civilian transportation were presented and discussed. Hybrid models combining machine learning and deep learning techniques with discrete choice analysis, land planning, urban planning and architecture were explored. The workshops also highlighted the use of AI with data mining techniques, processing, and analysis of big data.
