Visual Communication Illustration students, led by Prof. Yirmi Pinkus, presented their work at the Bologna Children's Book Fair
Shenkar International School supported 3rd and 4th-year Visual Communication students, under the guidance of Prof. Yirmi Pinkus, in an international student exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. The event took place in March 2023.
The Bologna Children's Book Fair stands as the most significant festival in its field. It gathers creators and publishers from the heart of the industry, academia, distinguished illustrators, designers and theorists.
The festival incorporates an international forum with the participation of six academic institutions, leading in the field of illustration and as of 2023, Shenkar holds a permanent position in this esteemed forum. All participating students had a valuable opportunity for artistic and professional exposure, being tasked with presenting an illustration on a theme designated by the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Preceding the festival, an intensive preparation workshop was conducted by Prof. Yirmi Pinkus, Mira Friedman and Batya Kolton, senior faculty at the Visual Communication Department.
