Department of Software Engineering: Admission Criteria
Option 1: With a Psychometric Entrance Exam (PET) score
A PET score of 580 or higher and a full matriculation certificate with a grade point average of 80 or higher, including 4-5 units of study in mathematics.
Option 2: Without a Psychometric Entrance Exam (PET) score
A full matriculation certificate with a grade point average of 90 or higher, including 4-5 units of study in mathematics (and no PET score).
Option 3: For candidates with an academic background
3.1. A practical engineer diploma with a grade point average of 80 or higher (scored on external examinations), a graduate project and a full matriculation certificate.
3.2. A full matriculation certificate with a grade point average of 70 or higher, and one full year of study in a relevant academic STEM program completed with an annual grade point average of 75 or higher.
All candidates must have completed four or five units of study in mathematics and physics.
Mathematics and physics level exams: All candidates must take level exams in mathematics and physics. Candidates who do not pass the level exams must pass Shenkar’s Level 0 courses in mathematics and/or physics, scoring 65 or higher.
Candidates who do not meet the admission criteria may still be admitted in exceptional circumstances. Admission will be approved on a case-by-case basis by the admission exceptions committee.
