New Academic Courses

The senior faculty collective agreement allows a faculty member a reduction in their hourly teaching load if teaching a new academic course. From the faculty collective agreement dated June 28, 2011, Section 4C: “Two hours of teaching a new seminar or course, offered for the first time by an experienced lecturer, will be considered as three teaching hours by a faculty member. Teaching hour reductions within this provision may not exceed two weekly teaching hours”.
