The Department of Polymer Materials Engineering: Admission Criteria
A matriculation certificate with a weighted average grade of 85 or higher, including bonuses (with four or five units of study in English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science).
A Psychometric Entrance Test (PET) score of 620 or higher or a practical engineer diploma with a grade point average of 90 or higher (in the external exams and graduation project).
Introductory courses: All candidates newly admitted into the Department of Polymer Materials Engineering are required to pass introductory courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry over the summer.
Please note:
- We reserve 10% of all places in the program for students who do not meet the admission criteria. A special admissions committee considers these applicants and makes its decision based on its impression of the applicants’ commitment and dedication, and their ability to complete the program. The committee may also set conditions for the applicants’ final admission. Candidate screening is coordinated by the Registration and Information Center.
- Candidates whose grades do not meet the requirement may check if they can still be accepted into the program. In exceptional circumstances, the admissions committee may decide to admit candidates who do not meet the admission criteria.
