SUGAR Network is a year-long course offering students academic and entrepreneurial collaboration with leading universities abroad which are members of the worldwide SUGAR Network.
In this course, students work in multidisciplinary teams, confronting practical challenges posed by international companies and corporations. At the end of the course, the teams submit innovative proposals and prototypes as creative solutions to the real-life challenges they were presented with during the course.
The program originated at Stanford University and has spread to academic institutions worldwide. It is currently offered to students in more than 16 countries. Shenkar is the only representative from Israel participating in the program and offering the course as of the 2020/21 academic year.
The course is based on “design thinking” methodology, developed by Stanford University and IDEO, and incorporates additional tools from the world of management, such as Agile/DevOps or Lean Startup, combining global, multidisciplinary and innovative values.
