Work and Study Track: Complete Your Engineering Degree on a Flexible Schedule
The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Shenkar offers a flexible study track that enables students to work while pursuing higher education. The pandemic taught us to manage our time more effectively as we transitioned to a hybrid teaching model, with some courses taught in-person and others online. In this way, students are able to manage their time with maximum efficiency to combine school, work and wellness activities.
Classes at the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering take place on:
Sundays: 14:00-22:00; classes are taught in-person on campus
Mondays: 18:00-22:00 for first-year students, or Wednesdays 18:00-22:00 for second-, third-, and fourth-year students; classes are taught remotely
Thursdays: 08:00-20:00; classes are taught in-person on campus
Fridays: 08:00-14:00; classes are taught in-person on campus
Total weekly hours: ~26
The flexible track at the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Shenkar ensures students have a lighter course-load throughout the year. To make this possible while still keeping the curriculum in alignment with the regular study track, studies in the flexible track are spread out across three terms: fall, winter, and summer. In this way, flexible track students start and complete their degree in sync with regular track students, and the program as a whole still takes four years to complete.
Please note:
- Students who need to take English classes or preparatory courses in physics and mathematics will have to do so outside of the department’s regular class hours. Midterm and end-of-term exams will also take place outside the flexible program’s timetable.
- Students must fulfill their English obligations before their third year.
