The American Friends of Shenkar hosted last week a special Toast Event for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, at Kobi Halperin’s Showroom in Manhattan.
Kobi Halperin is one of Shenkar’s most successful designers in North America, presenting his designs at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Sacks Fifth Avenue and more. His work has been featured in the largest Fashion and Design Magazines in America.
The program of the unique event included opening remarks by Mrs. Susan Pernick, President of the American Friends of Shenkar, a presentation on Shenkar’s latest achievements and the school’s history, a special screening of this year’s Final Fashion Show and of course a toast to the new year, along with some apples with honey.
Kobi Halperin shared his story with the participants and told them about his unique journey, all the way from Shenkar to Manhattan. Participants included Friends, Donors, Alumni and Media Representatives.
