The Shenkar Board of Trustees and Leadership of the Executive Committee of American Friends of Shenkar are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Jerome (Jerry) Chazen.
Jerry joined the Shenkar family when his partner in Liz Claiborne Company, Leonard Boxer, was honored in a gala event at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Jerry joined our Board, making annual contributions, and attending meetings and all major events. He was one of the sponsors of our first student exchange program in which three students from Shenkar attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for a semester.
Jerry's passion and enthusiasm for Shenkar was an inspiration to other extraordinary industry leaders who would follow his lead to become involved in Shenkar.
May the Almighty comfort his wife, Simona, children Kathy, Louise, David, and their families, among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. May the memory of Jerome Chazen be a blessing.
