Dr. Liron Friedman is an environmental engineer with expertise in engineering, modeling, and simulation of water and organic waste treatment processes. His research focuses on the development of affordable, low maintenance small-scale technologies for water purification, sanitation, and renewable energy recovery through waste-to-resource approaches. With many years of experience in applied environmental research, Dr. Friedman has worked across academia and industry, promoting circular and climate-smart infrastructure. He lately collaborated with Columbia University on a Gates Foundation funded project, and his research continues to inform technology development and guide environmental policy initiatives. Dr. Friedman currently serves as an Associate Professor at Shenkar College, where he also advises graduate projects on decentralized wastewater treatment, increasing renewable energy efficiency, and digital process design. His work bridges advanced engineering tools with real-world applications for sustainable development.
