Dean of Students is the unit responsible for the wellbeing of students over the course of their studies. It serves to assist and accommodate student needs, finding solutions for personal, financial and social issues, and acts as a bridge between the academy and the students.
The Dean handles diverse issues of day to day life with empathy and discretion, offering support during challenging personal issues, and acting as the ombudsman to those who feel that they have been discriminated against, treated unfairly, or had their rights violated by a member of Shenkar’s team.
Every year, students who show outstanding achievements in their studies, attain high grades and create exemplary projects are granted certificates of excellence and awards. As head of the Awards Committee, the Dean of Students determines who is eligible and under what criteria. Similarly chairing the Scholarship Committee, the unit implements the deanship’s policy on Welfare and Financial Aid.
