Every year, preparatory courses are held in mathematics, physics, chemistry, English and Illustrator-Photoshop. Their purpose is to review the learned material and fill in any gaps, to reach the level required for academic studies. There is an associated fee for preparatory courses that is not included in tuition.
Summer Courses in English:
- Every student at Israeli institutions of higher education must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the English language and obtain an exemption from language studies by the end of the third year. If a student does not complete their English requirement before the end of the third year, their studies will be suspended, to be resumed after completing the requirement for exemption.
- Exemption from English coursework will be granted to students based on their English scores on either the national psychometric exam or the AMIR/AMIRAM test. For more details, click here!
- If you possess a document certifying an English exemption, send it to us by email: rishum@shenkar.ac.il
Preparatory courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry:
- Any student admitted to the Faculty of Engineering will be required to take an exemption exam or the mathematics and physics preparatory courses.
- Whether a student is placed in preparatory summer courses or is granted an exemption will depend on exam results.
- A student who takes neither an exemption exam nor a preparatory summer course will automatically be placed in a preparatory course in the first semester.
Exemption exam dates:
