Games Pro: A Specialization Program in Digital Game Development as Part of the Bachelor’s Degree Studies in Software Engineering at Shenkar
In the upcoming academic year, the Department of Software Engineering together with the master’s degree program in digital game design and development at Shenkar are opening a new specialization program in digital game development for engineers.
The global gaming industry is booming, with Israel at its forefront. Digital gaming technologies drive innovation and cross over with the military, education and advanced medicine. Shenkar operates a unique and pioneering program of content that specializes in digital game development.

The internship program starts from the first year and outstanding students can join the four-year excellence pathway and receive a master’s degree with only one further year of studies!
The program’s academic syllabus includes game-oriented thinking, introduction to leading game engines (Unity, Unreal), game design and specification, gaming product management, artificial intelligence for games, 3D modeling and animation, virtual reality, development for multi-user games and more.
Projects are done in joint workshops for designers and programmers. The program offers opportunities to intern at leading gaming companies in Israel and to collaborate with institutions worldwide.
