ד”ר מיכל קורן

מהנדסת תעשייה וניהול, מתמחה בחיזוי טרנדים באופנה, ניהול שרשראות אספקה ומודלים לחיזוי, ראש בית הספר להנדסת תעשייה וניהול, ומרצה באוניברסיטת בר-אילן. בעלת דוקטורט בחקר ביצועים וסטטיסטיקה מאוניברסיטת בר-אילן, תואר שני בהצטיינות בניהול תעשייתי מאוניברסיטת בר-אילן ותואר ראשון בהנדסת תעשייה וניהול משנקר.

ד"ר קורן השלימה את עבודת הדוקטורט שלה בפקולטה לניהול באוניברסיטת בר-אילן, במסגרתה היא פיתחה מודל מתמטי לניהול מלאי וחיזוי מגמות בעולם האופנה, בדגש על מינימום עלויות בשרשרת האספקה ורגישות לקוחות לתחליפיות מוצרים. היא אף התראיינה בנושא שימוש בכלי AI לחיזוי באופנה ל-The Guardian  הבריטי.

תחום התמחותה הוא מודלים סטוכסטיים, חיזוי וקבלת החלטות בתנאי אי־ודאות, עם יישומים במערכות בריאות מורכבות.

מחקרה מתמקד בפיתוח מודלים מתקדמים לחיזוי ואופטימיזציה של תהליכים, תוך שימוש בלמידת מכונה ותהליכי מרקוב. ד״ר קורן פעילה בקהילה האקדמית הבינלאומית ומשמשת כחברת ועדות מדעיות ומארגנות בכנסים בינלאומיים מובילים ומחקריה מפורסמים בכתבי עת בינלאומיים.

במסגרת תפקידיה האקדמיים בבית הספר להנדסת תעשייה וניהול, מלמדת קורן קורסים בסטטיסטיקה, חקר ביצועים ובינה עסקית. מנחה פרוייקטי גמר של סטודנטים שנה ד' בביה"ס לתעשייה וניהול.
