Tal Yerushalmi

Tal Yerushalmi is a painter who lives and works in Tel Aviv. She draws inspiration for her work from Israel’s history and archeology.

 

Ms. Yerushalmi holds a BFA and MFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. During her MFA studies, she was selected to participate in the Istanbul Biennial.She has won numerous awards and scholarships, including the “Teaching Artist” grant from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, a grant from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, and support from the Mifal HaPais Council for Culture and the Arts.

 

Her artist’s book Baskets Diary, published in 2018, describes her broad research in the archeology wing of the Israel Museum.

 

In 2019 Ms. Yerushalmi was selected as the first resident of the MFA residency program at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.

 

In 2020, London-based ArtMaze Magazine published an interview with Ms. Yerushalmi in which she discusses her practice and paintings.

 

Her works have been exhibited at the Maya Gallery, the Ashdod Museum of Art, the Petah Tikva Museum of Art, the Hezi Cohen Gallery and the Weserburg Museum of Modern Art in Bremen, Germany, among others.
