Michal Bachi is a visual artist based in Tel Aviv. She has been teaching at Shenkar’s School of Multidisciplinary Art since its establishment in 2008. Michal studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. She holds a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (1988) and an MA from the Interdisciplinary Program in the Arts from the Faculty of the Arts at Tel Aviv University (2017). Michal has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and won multiple awards for her artwork.

Michal’s works often depict a human situation in which there is some tension or duality. The combination of the random and the intentional is a central theme of her work. The way materials behave physically – and the accidents that expose their behavior – function as variables in her research.
