Disability Support

The Center for Student Advancement – HILA – provides students with disabilities (physical, sensory and mental disabilities) ongoing support and counseling services via the Accessibility Coordinator, with the aim of making learning and examinations accessible to them.

  1. Applying for adjustments

The process for applying for adjustments due to physical, sensory or mental disabilities begins with a meeting with the Accessibility Coordinator. Bring current medical certificates, documents from National Insurance or the Ministry of Health (if applicable) with you to the meeting. Any application based on a medical opinion, must be filled out by the treating specialist physician.

Applications for adjustments may be submitted up to one month prior to the examinations in every semester. In exceptional cases, applications may be submitted after said date without any obligation to implement the adjustments immediately.

Adjustments will be determined in accordance with the needs arising from the disability and from the particular challenges associated with the studies in each department. The adjustments will refer both to adjustments in the learning methods and exam adjustments and may be temporary or permanent.

Please Note: Students with temporary physical, sensory or mental disabilities may contact the Accessibility Coordinator and provide her with a medical certificate from a specialist and examine the options for temporary adjustments.
