2020 Rozen Award for Sustainability

For the first time, the Rozen Center for Sustainability at Shenkar presented the Rozen Award for Sustainability in 2020 in the amount of NIS 20,000 total for 10 graduate projects from the Faculties of Engineering and Design, which deal with the subject of sustainability and directly address at least 3 out of 17 of the UN's Sustainability Development Goals (SDG's).

The fresh graduates identified social challenges and offered applied and conceptual solutions for various fields including agriculture, fashion, the urban environment and more. 

.Micro-factories, biological solutions, bio-degradable toys and circular fashion are just some of the wonderful final projects that dealt with sustainability, by graduates of the Shenkar 2020 cohort

 Sheizaf Rafaeli, President of Shenkar:

“I would like to congratulate the students who devoted much energy to this issue, which is our future. The Rozen Center is the place that focuses on the topic that we at Shenkar value the most. Sustainability is the meeting point between our present needs and those of the future!”

.Sustainability is an important subject for the Rosen family, who see it as the future of society and support the center's activities on an ongoing basis

.The prize ceremony was convened following the guidelines of the purple ring restrictions and attended by the president of Shenkar, as well as the Jury

The award’s Jury consisted of representatives of the public sector, industry and the academic world and included:

Atalia Atar, Manager of the Product Marketing, Kornit Digital

Dr. Tal Goldrath, Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering

Ayelet Karmon, Manager, CIRTEX Textile Research Institute

Miki Keidar, Manager of the Rozen Center for Sustainability
