High School Chemistry teachers participated in a seminar on polymers in the department of plastics engineering

Even the best teachers need refreshing: for the second time in 2013, during the Hanukah holiday, the Department of Plastic Engineering at Shenkar hosted a special seminar on polymers for high school teachers from all over Israel.

In a thank-you letter sent by Ron Blonder, PhD., of the Department of Science Teaching at the Weizmann Institute of Science, she expressed her thanks and gratitude for the seminar, mentioning the importance thereof, stating that “many of the subject matters presented directly correlate with high school chemistry studies and may very well interest high school chemistry students”. Blonder further added that “the teachers have learned so much during this fascinating day.”!

The purpose of the seminar was to introduce the teachers to the most updated and leading studies in their respective fields. In fact, these studies relate to all the advanced hi-tech we use in our everyday lives.

The seminar enabled the teachers to get acquainted with innovations which are not included in the traditional curriculum and better prepare the younger generation for academic studies.
