Sir John Sorrell, Jonathan Newhouse and Jeff Pulver received Shenkar's 2017 Honorary Fellowship

In a ceremonious gala, Shenkar’s International Board bestowed an Honorary Fellowship to the institute’s most prominent benefactors in 2017. Every year this honor is awarded to individuals who contribute to Shenkar’s development on an international scale, advance the Institute to the forefront of industry and academy, and serve as sources of personal and professional inspiration to students and faculty alike. The Honorary Fellows of 2017 - Sir John Sorrell, Jonathan Newhouse, and Jeff Pulver - went above and beyond in meeting these criteria.

The award ceremony was hosted by Shirley Wegner, an independent artist and faculty member in the Multidisciplinary Art School. Following the ceremony, the newly awarded Fellows and participating faculty members led short TED talk speeches. The ceremony was part of an International Board Members event that included the chairman of the International Board Mr. Marc Worth, committee chairman Mr. Zvi Yemini, the President of Shenkar, Prof. Yuli Tamir, and the President of the Israeli Friends of Shenkar College Orit Efrati. Noted Fellows from past years include the artist Moshe Gershuni, the entrepreneur and businessman Gad Propper, and architect and designer Patricia Urquiola.
