U.S. Donors on a Special Introductory Visit

Shenkar hosted a delegation of donors from the United States for a meaningful visit and guided tour of the campus. The visit was arranged through Ms. Alice Gottesman, a member of the Board of Trustees.

The tour was led by Orit Efrati, Chair of Shenkar’s Board of Trustees, who welcomed the guests and presented the broad scope of activity taking place across Shenkar’s campuses.

The visit opened at the Rosen Gallery – the Design Research Center, where the exhibition “Chair²” is currently on view. The exhibition showcases a creative collaboration between the Department of Industrial Design and the Department of Jewelry Design.

The group continued into the campus for meetings with faculty members and students:

Parameter Center | The Guy Peres Chair – a presentation by Ofir Lieberman, Director of the Center, including an overview of the Center’s activities and a lecture on its unique research in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Alice Gottesman Department of Jewelry Design – a meeting with Yael Ouliel, Head of the Department, and Uri Samet, Senior Lecturer.

The Department of Textile Design – a meeting with Micky Keidar, Head of the Department.

The visit concluded at the Department of Fashion Design, with a meeting with Ilan Beja, Head of the Department, and Inbal Hefer, a department alumna who won two awards this year at the international Mittelmoda fashion competition. Joining the closing meeting were Prof. Sheizaf Rafaeli, President of Shenkar, and Yoni Even Tov, CEO of Shenkar, who welcomed and addressed the guests.

The visitors were impressed by the creative atmosphere at Shenkar, as well as by the students and academic staff who lead innovation, entrepreneurship, and research at the institution.
