“Body Subject”: A new exhibition featuring Shenkar graduates

‘”

The role of jewelry has undergone a fundamental change over the years. Central to that change are questions that cast doubt upon the nature, function, and place of jewelry in the sphere of design and art.

The Body Subject exhibition presents a multidisciplinary discussion about what it means to wear jewelry, about how objects relate to the body, and about the transition of jewelry from its functional position into the exhibition space.

Many Shenkar graduates are participating in the exhibition: Daniela Saria, Tamar Pelay, Tami Eshed, Yotam Bahat, Keren Gispan, Gili Doliner (Department of Jewelry Design), and Avigal Be’er (Department of Textile Design).
