The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management awards its graduates a B.Sc. degree.
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management trains highly professional and skilled engineers in planning, improving, installing, operating and managing systems, thus enabling them to assume senior engineering and management positions in industrial and other organizations. The department provides its graduates with the technological and structural tools and methods for coping efficiently with challenging topics, such as changes stemming from the need to introduce advanced technologies, more sophisticated information systems, or changes derived from economic conditions and human resources.
The Department helps its students to advance via classroom instruction, research and work experience in industrial projects. These activities include: forging close relations with industry and exploiting the range of knowledge at Shenkar via integrated programs with the other engineering departments and the design departments. The department offers advanced computer labs and technological labs for simulation and enterprise resource planning (ERP) as well as for specific fields of specialization including computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM). The rich topics of study also comprise business entrepreneurship, supply chain management, marketing and retail.
