Fashion design studies commence in the first year in 'Introduction to Projects' - compulsory courses - and continue in the second, third and fourth year in various elective fields such as : children’s clothes, underwear, swimwear, menswear, eveningwear and bridal wear, casual wear, extreme sportswear, knitwear, bags, shoes, jeans and tailored clothing. In addition to fashion design courses and theoretical studies, the students are offered a wide variety of elective courses in fields such as: fashion journalism, advertising, production, photography, styling, drawing, sculpture, product design, embroidery, knitting and more.
During the summer vacation between the third and fourth year, it is recommended that the students intern in the fashion industry, either in Israel or abroad. The department assists in creating the contacts. Fashion is a global field and the department has many international connections. Guest lecturers visit the department and give master classes, students and graduates intern in companies abroad, and guest fashion professionals critique the final projects. Each year students are encouraged to participate in prestigious international competitions for young designers.
The fourth year is dedicated entirely to the preparation of the final project, accompanied by instruction and critique by the faculty and designers from abroad.
